Second Printing, Fine minus, unread bookwith touch of shelf wear and slight crimps at spine ends; in a Near Fine jacket that has light edge and corner wear and touches of very light rubbing. Collins bestselling novel of a future, post-apocalyptic country that has harsh policies and practices. The 2012 movie starring Jennifer Lawrence was a huge, blockbuster success. This is a very nice second printing, identical to the first except for number line beginning with "2", that is priced at a more affordable level than are copies of the true first.
Synopsis
The story is set in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, where a wealthy Capitol rules over twelve impoverished districts. Each year, one boy and one girl from each district are chosen to participate in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death. When Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the Games, she becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed people of Panem. I feel this is a very overrated series. If Gale was a GAIL nobody would care about it. It also focused way too much on the violence.
