Boston: Little, Brown, 1975. First edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Signed. Much shelf wear to tips, corners and edges of book and jacket, page edges spotted. Author's inscription to the first white page. First printing/edition stated, no others noted. Nathaniel Benchley was the son of humorist Robert Benchley and the father of Peter Benchley who wrote the novel and the screenplay for Jaws. Nathaniel's 1961 novel The Off-Islanders was made into a motion picture titled The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming for which he received the nomination for an Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay.
