Fascinating chapter on the roots or race & racial difference, as well as "the historical element in the Old Testament." In 437 pages, with drawings throughout, + reviews by the press in the rear & a lengthy catalogue of the publishers' other books. Orig. published in 1892, this is the 1894 printing. Hardcover with burgundy cloth-over-boards, gilt lettering to spine.Condition is Good: very clean, binding secure, but rear hinge is cracked. Pages mildly tanned, commensurate with age. Aside from 3 big letters in crayon opposite the half title page, there is NO other writing/underlining/highlighting; NOT ex-lib. Flaws: heavy corner bumping, moderate rubbing to extremities, especially lower edges.
