First Printing. Signed by Kiran Desai on title page. First novel from the author of the Man Booker Prize-winning novel THE INHERITANCE OF LOSS. 209 pages. Small bump to top rear corner of boards, very light tanning to page edges. Unclipped dust jacket has a tiny chip to top rear corner of spine and is now protected in a clear sleeve.
Synopsis
Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard is a novel by Kiran Desai published in 1998. It is her first book, and jointly won the Betty Trask Award in 1998. It is set in the Indian village of Shahkot and follows the exploits of a young man trying to avoid the responsibilities of adult life.
