A fine and loving homage to Hugh Macdiarmid (pseudonym of Christopher Murray Grieve), and with contributions by the two editors, and in 221 pp., another 14 essays including by Norman MacCaig, David Daiches, Maurice Lindsay, William R. Aitken, A.T. Cunninghame, Edwin Morgan, Douglas Sealey et al. Macdiarmid's poetry, poetry criticism, and prose addresses Scots and Gaelic language, Marxism, nationalism, the Scots contribution to the European Renaissance. Black-and-white frontis of him and two and a half dozen photographs. [10], 11-221 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
