Kahn's reminiscences of his years as a journalist, including vignettes on Willie Mays, Leo Durocher, Jascha Heifetz, Robert Frost and John Lardner, sportswriter, WWII columnist, son of Ring Lardner, and Roger Kahn's friend. The book is warmly INSCRIBED to Ring Lardner, Jr. in remembrance of his brother John. Near fine in faded blue boards in a near fine dw with moderate tanning to the spine. Kahn is also the author of the classic The Boys of Summer, a tribute to the Brooklyn Dodgers. Great association copy!
