Original boards, with later well done leather spine, raised bands, and gilt titled red Morocco label. All marbled edges & endpapers, bound in extra marbled endpapers front and back. In good condition. Boards a little marked, with corners a little bumped. Prize inscription on first blank page. A few light foxing spots on early pages, else generally clean & tight. Size 7.25 x 5 inches 552pp. 19 ills; Fold-out map. Stanley’s account of his journey to search for Livingstone, and the time he spent with him.
