Front dust jacket and dust jacket spine slightly browned; slightly browned edges on back dust jacket. Tops of front and back dust jacket flaps slightly browned; slight shelf wear to top of dust jacket. Cover price of $13.95 on front dust jacket flap; book has overall tight binding and pages still look in excellent condition.
Farrar, Straus and Giroux First Edition, First Printing as indicated by "First edition, 1984" on copyright page.

Synopsis
A House Like a Lotus is a 1984 young adult novel by Madeleine L'Engle. Its protagonist is sixteen-year-old Polly O'Keefe, whose friend and mentor, Maximiliana Horne, has sent her on a trip to Greece and Cyprus. As she travels, Polly must come to terms with a recent traumatic event involving Max. The history of Polly's relationship with Max is told in flashback over the course of the novel.
