Parnassus, NY, 1934, 1934. Limited/Numbered. Soft cover. Very Good+. Attractive quarto red printed wrappers with overlapping flaps. Simple designs on the front cover. Unpaginated. #110 of 363 copies finely printed. Neat inscription by Macleod: "for Paul Snodgrass, member of the Central Executive Committee and genial fellow worker who is so adept at countering FAscist ideologies adn downing whiskey -- in love and graciousness Rob Frost (?) July 11, 1934 Norman, Oklahoma." (signed). The poet & editor of several journals & magazines, among them Briarcliff Quarterly, Chronos, Pembroke Magazine, was at the Univ. of Oklahoma at the time of the publication of this title. He taught in several universities & schools. The usual splitting to places along the overlapping cover flaps, & a bit of exposure of the pages under the spine. Else fine. Scarce.

Spine and edges worn, torn and chipped. Printed on Agecroft Text Paper from Vogue and Tempo type. Norman Wicklund Macleod, poet, author, professor, and editor of Pembroke Magazine, was born in Salem, Oregon in 1906. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in 1930, with further studies at the University of Southern California, the University of Oklahoma, and Teachers College of Columbia University, where he received an M.A. in 1936. He began a career as a poet and editor in the 1920s, contributing to several "little magazines" and later becoming editor of Briarcliff Quarterly and founding editor of Pembroke Magazine.
