Published to accompany a 1991 exhibition in New York of Horace Vernet's pen-and-ink and watercolor fashion plates done as a series commissioned for the publication Incroyables et Merveilleuses and published between 1810 and 1818. The whole set was engraved by Georges-Jacques Gatine. A full-page plate is devoted to each drawing. Titles are in French; text is in English. 8vo. XX pp.
