Frank Allingham has been through World War I, surviving a German prison camp. Despite his wife's leaving him he keeps a positive attitude toward life in general. He compaigns as a Liberal, is defeated, and turns to journalism as a means of making a constructive difference in the world. His wife returns briefly, and then runs off with his brother. He finds true love, and looks forward to reporting important international conferences. Page edges dusty. 281 pp..
