It has been considered by scholars one of Greene's finest novels.The story is set in the run up to Argentina's 'Dirty War' in the early 1970s. Greene explored the role that political and social struggles have within society. Greene uses conflict as a metaphor. Conflict becomes something that dictates everyday from relationships to actions. In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. Edge wear to the head of the dust wrapper. Minor age toning to the flyleaf. Synopsis
Graham Greene was born in 1904. He worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the Foreign Office. He died in April 1991.
