Loammi Sewall Coburn was born in Salem, Mass. on Apr. 7, 1808. He graduated from Dartmouth in 1830 and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1835. From 1853-1857 he was the third Principal of the Farmville Female Seminary in Farmville, Prince Edward County, Virginia. .
