About This Item

New York, NY Routledge & Kegan Paul: Arkana Paperbacks, 1987. Paperback First Edition Thus [1987], so stated. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR at the inside front cover. First Edition Thus [1987], so stated. Very Good in Wraps: shows indications of careful use: a hairline crease along the front hinge and another, even fainter at the backstrip; slight spine lean; light wear to extremities; mild rubbingto the wrapper covers; binding secure; text clean; pages have tanned somewhat, due to aging and the former owner's gift insciption is a the lower portion of the front free endpaper. No longer 'As New', but remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 236pp. Trade Paperback. "Homage to the Sun" and its companion books, "Magus of Strovolos" and "Fire in the Heart" are an amazing look into the mind and world of Daskolos, an esoteric Christian mystic with extraordinary powers of healing and psychic abilities. These books are a truly fascinating read that will take you beyond the mundane world and open up whole new perspectives on reality, yourself and the world in general. They are well written and balanced in their tone. They don't veer off into sensationalism, nor do they try to convince you of their perspective. Their power are in the open, honest approach of their (Kyriacos Markides) author in trying to understand Daskolos's world view and experience. The author really knows how to share a great story. I couldn't read them fast enough. SIGNED BY AUTHOR.
