About This Item

New York: Moffat, Yard & Company, 1909. Hardcover. G-- (Ex-gallery owned with spine label and few interior marks; moderate edge wear to binding, frontispiece and early page are loose and present; tissue guards may be slightly aged but pages and plates are clean, and color plates are especially vivid.). Dark cloth with gilt letters and lavish gilt and crimson decoration on spine & front cover; gilt top edges, 217 pp., 60+ BW, color, and colored illus. American Impressionist and illustrator George Wharton Edwards (1859-1950) presents a geographical and cultural look at the Netherlands of his day. The narrative is enhanced by more than 60 of his illustrations. Please note that this is an original printed book, and not an ebook, paperback reprint, or print-on-demand title. As such, it is uncommon.
