First Edition; preceded by a 4-page supplement to the San Francisco Examiner ten weeks earlier. Inscribed on front wrapper: "Your Friend Edwin Markham 1934." Herewith the original printed mailing envelope, extensively, and professionally repaired. Skiff, Adventures in Americana, pp. 314-315, says that only abouit 30 copies escaped burning in a fire, which we find hard to believe. Bennett, Practical Guide, p. 184. Fullerton, pp. 190-1. Grolier American One Hundred, p. 127. Johnson, High Spots, pp. 55-6. Nearly fine in orocco backed cloth folding case.Reviews
