There are some remants of brown paper adhered to the cloth. Gilt lettering in to front thus: H.M.S. SUFFOLK ''NOUS MAINTIENDRONS'' Gilt lettering to spine thus: H.M.S. SUFFOLK, THIRD COMMISSION. Foxing to edges of page-block. An 8cm split to fron hinge but all pages secure in binding...except the ffep which has been excised and is missing. Some internal foxing, but mainly to page margins. 142pp.
