Canterbury: Printed By W Bristow. Very Good. 1801. Hardcover. The Second Improved edition, corrected and continued to the present day. Published 1797-1801 in 12 volumes, many illustrations in text, complete as listed with 36 plates and 33 maps, final map called for in volume 8 is misbound in volume 9, plus an additional folding map not called for - [Hundreds of Toltingrough and Shamel ] bound into volume3. Around 7200 pages in total, small repairs to a few folding maps, attractively bound in polished calf, gilt decorated, spines. Leather spine labels. Volume 7 spine has small chip and sl mark, volune 5 has a mark across lower spine. A scarce edition of Hasted; Octavo .
