"Embracing accounts of the pre-historic races and their remains; the earliest Spanish, French and American explorations; the lives of the primitive hunters, trappers and traders; the commerce of the prairies; the first American settlements founded; the original discoveries of Gold in the Rocky Mountains; the development of cities and towns, with the various phases of industrial and political transition, from 1858 to 1890." Full leather embossed decorative covers with gilt titles. Covers have edge wear and corner bumps with rear cover nearly separated - though interior hinge tape repaired. Front hinge cracked. ½" tear at upper front spine end. Page edges with a few mild stains. Spine sun faded. Upper corner of rear endpaper creased. Cliff Houses, Rio Mancos plate (pg. 40) detached from text block with edge wear. Text block is still rather tight. A few smudges in margins of first few pages and a hint of foxing. Majority of interior pages crisp and clean.. Full-Leather. Good-. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Minor Ex-Library.
