New York: D. & J. Sadlier, 1849. Hardcover. Good +. 2 vols. in 1: 265; 360 p. 16 cm. Full leather. Spine label is a little worn on rear side. Scuffing and some spots to leather.Front free endpaper has chpped top corner. Front endpaper inscribed "Thomas Curtin, Campbellford, January the 24th 1873. Wind N.E. a very heavy snow storm and very cold." Also signed and dated on first title page and p. 3.

Title continues: "Showing how that event has impoverished the main body of the people in those countries; and containing a list of the abbeys, priories, nunneries, hospitals and other religious foundations in England, and Wales, and Ireland, confiscated, seized on or alienated, by the Protestant "Reformation" Sovereigns and Parliaments. By William Cobbet, M.P. In a series of letters, addressed to all sensible and just Englishmen. To which is now added, three letters, by the same author, never before published in the United States."
