About This Item
Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1971. First printing. 8vo, pp. xvii, 171. Orange cloth. A nice copy in somewhat chipped and heavily scuffed dj. Beverley (1673-1722) was troubled by the ecological rape of the country, the exploitative ways of the colonists and the treatment of Native Americans. His book got him into trouble with the colonial government. Excerpted from Beverley's book, first published in 1705.
