Two Volumes 1949-1950 This is a Good Only Two Volume Set in Contemporary half brown calf with five raised bands to spine and with gilt lettering to spine and further gilt embellishments adorned to other compartrments along spine.The calf is heavily rubbed and worn to both head and tails of spine and is slightly chipped and peeling to spine tips also.Over marbled boards which have surface wear and rubbing.Brown endpapers and the volumes have former owner;s bookplates to the front pastdown.Engraved Title pages and there are numerous engravings on wood and steel by the Author.Books have firm bindings with no hinge weakness and with NO loose leaves or plates.Contents remain nice and clean internally, Volume 1 (vii) 384pp Vol 2 (xii) 372pp First Edition . Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1849.
