About This Item
Macdonald & Evans Ltd., London, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Two volumes (complete). Two most pleasing books. The frontispage of the first volume has a gift inscription: "To Mr J A Becking with best wishes from, Max Harris and John Hahn 29th July 1960". Cloth covered boards with gilt titling and bordering on scarlet. The boards have very, very light shelving marks. They are otherwise elegant and serene and healthy. The contents of both are most gratifying. They are very clean and clear, most generous and benevolent, certain and comprehensive, assiduous and companionable. A smart set. Please note that due to the weight of the set, should the books need to be posted outside of South Africa, extra postage charges will need to be made. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
