London: Saunders and Otley, 1842. Four volumes in contemporary full polished calf, the backs with gilt decorations and black and red morocco labels, plain grey end papers. Very Good, light rubbing at corners, light soiling to boards, scattered toning. spots at end papers, corner chip to Vol. red label Vol. IV. With the bookplates of Sir Richard Henry Charles Rycroft, 3rd Baronet. Each volume with a gift inscription dated March 7th, 1852, "Henry Richard Roycoft from his affec. Father and Mother on his 11th birthday. Richard H.C. Roycroft, Charlotte A. Roycroft". Sadly, Henry Richard Roycroft died two years later, in 1854. A SCARCE history in fine contemporary binding. This set will require additional shipping charges for priority and international mail- please inquire. . First Edition. Polished Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
