A superbly rebound copy of the extraordinarily scarce John Reeves book: 'A History Of The Law Of Shipping and Navigation', published in Dublin in 1792. Rebound in modern full calf with marbled end papers, raised bands, boxed maroon spine label and blind tooled raised band lines. Book contains information on law relating to the English Colonies in North America here and there throughout but is primarily concerned with the history of English maritime law. Readers of the Patrick O'Brian Aubrey-Maturin sea series will remember all the problems Aubrey had with English maritime law. Exceedingly scarce.
