About This Item
[?London] Printed in the Year MDCCLXXI 1771. 12mo, 124 x 96 mms., pp. [vi], 167 [168 blank], including half-title, contemporary calf, with numerous schoolboy scribbles in ink; front joint cracked, binding rather worn, but a rare survival of a school text. My limited (very) limited knowledge of translations of Plutarch does not include this one, but it is possibly a plagiarism. Unusually, there are no catchwords, perhaps a means of disguising the printer/publisher. The only copy that I have located is in the British Library.
