Light green cloth over boards w gilt font on spine, spine sun faded w few light stains (see our photos of this offering to confirm condition notes). Interior pages without writing, clean and tight. No indication of former ownership. A complete history of Jewish literature from the close of the Bible to the 1950s. "A History of Jewish Literature" covers the whole spectrum of Jewish Literature, including Rabbinics, Poetry, Belles-lettres, Philosophy, History, Biblical Exegesis, etc. Rabbi Waxman methodically first describes the probable date of composition and country of origin. Following this, he gives a brief review of the book's major themes and writing style, as well as several excerpts Rabbit Waxman is the Founder of Teachers Institute of Mizrachi (1917), later affiliated with Yeshiva College (renamed Yeshiva University), New York City. Complete set - heavy weight, may require additional postage.
