The rear pocket containing the facsimile horn books is complete and undamaged and all three books are present and in excellent condition. Tuer's inscription on the front free endpaper reads, 'To/ Sir John Evans K.C.B., F.R.S. etc, etc./ from Andrew Tuer/ with feelings of respect, admiration/ & gratitude' The accompanying letter also signed by Tuer explains that he is unable to send the 2 Volume edition as it has already sold out.
