The Macmillan Company, 1916. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Good ; No jacket. 1916 Macmillan edition, copyright 1906. Edited, with an introduction and notes by John Bell Henneman. Small (5.75" x 4.5") brown cloth-covered hardcover has cover and spine title of 'Thackeray's Henry Esmond'. Spine title lettering is in black, and is somewhat faded. Cover title is gilt. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn. A few light dents on front cover. Initials in pencil on front free endpaper. Frontispiece portrait of Thackeray and title page are foxed. A few pages have bent corners. A few pages are torn at the top edge. Last four pages before endpapers are covered in notes written in pencil. Pages were blank, possibly intended for such purpose. "Macmillan's Pocket Classics" 591 pages.
