Reprinted from The Publications of the Bostonian Society, 1916. First edition. 24.5 cm; 28 pp.; 4 plates (2 of which are maps). Brown wrappers printed in black. Handmade paper with deckle edges. Inscribed by Winthrop S. Scudder to Francis J[ackson] Garrison (1848-1916), the abolitionist, William Lloyd Garrison's, son and biographer, to the front wrapper. Garrison and Scudder worked together for many years at Houghton Mifflin and the Riverside Press. Some soiling to front wrapper; some marginal discoloration on the the last few leaves. A very good copy.
