Minneapolis : Harrison & Smith, 1896. No additional printings listed. Size is thick octavo (8vo), 10.125"/25.5cm h. Bound in publisher's golden-brown morocco, framing bands/ornamentation debossed to boards, gilt lettering/banding to spine. Plain light red endpapers. [ii], [1-4], 5-687, [688-690] blank; 36 additional coated sheets included with b&w illus to one side. Tables. Author's preface, introduction; Part First (Annals of County); Part Second (history and geography of each township); Part Third (Historical sketches of county government, etc); general index. Condition notes: a good plus copy of a rare history: moderate wear to boards/spine, with ends rolled and corners bumped, several small stains. Former owner (A.R. Patten) has stamped their name, discreetly, to front pastedown, and signed to first blank page; else interior unmarked. Binding loosening at front hinge, with fabric showing along entire seam of rear hinge. Pages tanned, with small closed tears to page head or tail not uncommon. We personally inspect every book we offer.
