About This Item

Text is clean and unmarked in a square and tight binding. Lettering on the spine is bright and clear. Previous owner's name is embossed at the top outside corner of the title page. A nice solid copy. "The course of these observations has led me to transgress the limits assigned to history. It has been, however, my object through this entire work to exhibit not only the nature but also the significance of the moral facts I have recorded, by showing how they have affected the subsequent changes in society." p. 370.
