Hardback octavo, no jacket as issued, good condition, olive green cloth cover, black & white plates (one slightly loose), black & white portrait frontispiece (with tissue guard), pages lightly toned, edges & few pages lightly foxed, corners lightly bumped, tiny edge tear few pages, minor edgewear, owner's rubber stamp & sticker mark front free flyleaf. 199 pp. Stanley Austin provides, in a concise and popular form, an account of the early history of engraving. The book includes 18 engravings. (No date, but about 1908 or 1910, Trove.)
