1825. HUME, David. THE HISTORY OF ENGLAND from the Invasion of Julius Caesar to the Revolution of 1688. Continued to the Death of George the Second, by T. [Tobias] Smollett, M.D. A New Edition, with Portraits and Lives of the Authors. London: Printed for G. Cowie and Co., etc., 1825. In thirteen volumes. Frontispiece portraits of Hume, in Volume I, and Smollett, in Volume IX. 8vo., brown boards, green cloth spines, all edges untrimmed. The set is quite clean, showing only occasional light to moderate foxing in some volumes, and only in a few places. In the original publisher's binding, which is sunned to spines, and with only fragments of the spine labels present; the boards are mildly edgeworn and abraded, with a few bumps to some volumes. Withal it is a very good set. It is uncommon to see a complete set in the original bindings in such condition.
