Longmans, Green & Co.., London & New York, 1914. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Two volumes (complete). A convinced set. Cheyney was an American historian. Despite this he produced one of the most important histories of Elizabethan England. The first volume was published in 1914. Volume 2 was published in 1926. The claret coloured boards of both have storage marks, some handling and shelving wear to the edges, corners and seams. They are comfortable, secure and steady. The papertrims have foxing and some light tanning. However, the contents are most satisfying (especially taking their ages into account). Volume 1: 552 pages plus index ; volume 2: 589 pages. The pages are clear, clean, very confident, fresh, tight, assiduous, benign. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
