Frontispiece. Printer's device on title-page. Scarce and fascinating work on Buddhism, extending from India over great portions of southern and central Asia and permeating the ancient religions of China and Japan. This study is profusely illustrated with 4 photographic plates and 1 map. Some age-wear on binding with some soiling and staining on covers and spine sunned. Ex-library copy with identification number at bottom of spine, library stamp on free front endpaper, and library pocket on inside of back board. Very minor age-toning along paper margin. Binding in overall fair, interior in good to very good condition.
