Together with a condensed history of Missouri; a reliable and detailed history of Callaway County - its pioneer record, resources, biographical sketches of prominent citizens; general and local statistics of great value; incidents and reminiscences Illustrated" 954 pages. Dec. leather/gilt titles. Covers detached, attempted repair was made with package tape at front hinge. Inside front cover and ffep repaired with strapping tape. Covers very worn with preface and content pages loose but present. Pages 279-294 loosely attached - balance still bound with exception of back end paper. Pages age toned with minimal wear at edges. Minor marginalia. 4½" lower part of backstrip detached from spine with 2/3 of this piece still present. 1 x 1¼" piece of leather cover at front lower left is missing. Personal letter (1966) from previous owner regarding purchase of this book. A RARE work in its original!. First Edition. Leather. Poor. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
