About This Item
Birmingham: Printed by and for Pearson and Rollason, 1781 Book. Good. Half leather. [ii], xii, [x], 280 pages + 6 additional pages 7-8*, 179-180* and 233-234*. There is a folding frontispiece panorama of the city, a folding plan facing page 40 and a map of the Canal from Birmingham to Autherley + 14 other plates. Although the title page states that this is the second edition everything else seems to be from the first edition. The pagination matches that of the first edition and the plates also. The folding plan of Birmingham is also creased and torn, with an old paper repair that has since torn. Staining and spotting to pages throughout, heavy in places. .
