Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1885. First edition. Original Cloth. Very Good +. 8 3/4 x 11/ 1/4 inches. 2 vols. Vol. 1: xx + 665 pages. Vol. 2: xiii + 696 pages. Both volumes illustrated. Pages are bright and clean and free from marking, soiling and staining. Both volumes bound in matching publisher's black cloth over heavy boards. Title in gilt to front covers and spine, and blindstamped on rear covers. Covers slightly bleached and lightly worn. An unusually good copy of this monumental and excellent history of the American Episcopal Church in its original state. A scarce work.
