New York: Facts On File Inc, 1995. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 9x1x13. Blue cloth with silver titles on spine, folio, 320 pages; just a hint of edge wear; dust jacket now protected in mylar. Please note, this is an oversize book an may incur extra shipping charges. Between 1876 and 1888, a Frenchman named Albert Racinet produced a six-volume 'History of the World in Costume'. One of the earliest books on the subject, its scope and detail has never been surpassed. 'The Historical Encyclopedia of Costumes' is a recreation of Racinet's classic work.
