The Spring 1996 issue, Volume XXII, Number 1 of The Historic Huntsville Quarterly of Local Architecture and Preservation is titled Oakwood College: Architecture of the Spirit. This theme issue looks at the architecture and history of Oakwood College on the occasion of the centennial of its founding. Oakwood College is a historically Black colleges (HBCU) located in Huntsville, Alabama and established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1896. Numerous photographs complement the text.
