Oversized, thick, heavy hardcover. Text in Spanish. 287 pp. with indice onomastico. Illustrated throughout with reproductions of original photographs in the original sepia or other tones in which the originals appeared. This history examines Spanish photography from its earliest days (daguerrotypes, ambrotypes, magic lantern, etc) from the 1840s, through the end of the 19th century. Included are portraits, post-mortems, landscapes, interiors, exteriors, occupationals such as matadors, performers, etc.
