First edition, first printing of The Amber Spyglass; second printing of The Subtle Knife (4681097531); ninth printing of Northern Lights. Three volumes, all of which are signed by the author. 'Northern Lights' in publisher's original purple cloth with gilt titles to the spine. 'The Subtle Knife' in publisher's original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and gilt knife illustration to the upper board. 'The Amber Spyglass' in publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine and upper board. All three titles in the original David Scutt illustrated dustwrappers. An excellent fine set, the bindings square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's marks. Complete with the original dustwrappers, all of which are without fading, loss or tears (Subtle Knife a little creased at the head of the spine), None are price-clipped. All three volumes are signed by the author in blue ink on the title page (without further inscription). Pullman's acclaimed fantasy trilogy has won numerous awards. 'Northern Lights' won the 1995 Carnegie Medal, 'The Amber Spyglass' was awarded both The Whitbread Book of the Year and Whitbread Prize for best children's book in 2001.
