About This Item

The cover has some light wears, but inside is clean.

About the author:

Taeko Tada is president of TSP Co., Ltd. and director of the Peace Piece Project. Born and raised in Hiroshima, she was inspired to become a business entrepreneur by her great-grandmother, who lost everything in the atomic bombing but went on to raise her orphaned grandchildren while rebuilding her business. One of those grandchildren was Taeko's mother. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the bomb and the end of the war, Taeko wrote the five-volume manga Kiseki no Hiroshima (The Hiroshima Miracle). By telling the true story of the women of Hiroshima whose spirit of forgiveness was instrumental in the city's recovery, she hopes to convey a message to the world about the preciousness of peace.
