Christoph von Furer-Haimendorf was an ethnologist and a Professor, who spent the majority of his life studying tribal cultures in India. Illustrated with photographs throughout. First edition. With previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown, initialled D.M. In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light shelfwear to the boards. Slight chipping to dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
