About This Item

A short little pamphlet containing a heart-warming Christmas story about the widow Goode, who while on her sick bed on Christmas Eve thinks back on her sons, one fighting personal demons at home, and the other she fears wounded on the battlefields of France during the First World War.

This copy is in Very Good condition, with some age-related discolouration and small tears to the paper covers. The inside, however, is in excellent shape, and the pamphlet is still tightly bound together. A lovely Canadian story of a wartime Christmas miracle.
