Hardcover. vi, 199p., standard leaves (11x8.5 inch) xeroxed recto-only from typescript and hardbound in a generic clasp folder of dark blue boards without exterior titling. The cheesy binder encloses a primary fastening ("velo-bound") that is holding soundly, but the outer addition has split off its backstrip; we have glued it back on, inexpertly. Aside from the shadow of a squashed silverfish at pp.198/9, an otherwise sound copy that is otherwise clean. Author Gorringe has inscribed the ffep (signing "Rich") to one "Carolyn" who was an intimate and a primary influencer of this book (very personal message), see also Rich's dedication page at iii. In holograph he says that "This book is our creation, the result of our two journals' bringing us together.." &c. This cataloguer feels Gorringe's thematic message is coherent and consistent and pretty subtle for 1974. From Gorringe's intro: "The thesis is that once a man truly experiences the impact of the women's movement, he undergoes a transformation that is best understood within the context of the hero myth. He experiences the transformation phase of the hero myth known as the hero's journey..
