The text is illustrated with numerous illustrations from within the pamphlets/books cited. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed illustration to the front panel and copper titles to the backstrip. Rubbing to the book corners and backstrip corners. A few marks to the book panels and a faint blue mark to the front fore text edge. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the title page. " The books described here were selected by Bern Dibner, large collection of scientific and technical works assemble biking over a period of nearly fifty years, as representative of landmark in the history of science and technology." -- From the introduction page VII.
