About This Item
Garden City: Doubleday & Company, 1951. FIRST EDITION. Hardcover. Inscribed by Roberts on title page and dated the year of publication. Also signed by Henry Gross on title page. Additonally, laid in is a 1-page TLS from Roberts' wife Anna to a friend, Kitsa [Choate] (no date, but obviously contemporary with the publication of this book) which discusses, among other things, the reaction of Henry Gross to the publication of Roberts' book on him, and also gives the number of copies in the first and second printings. A fine book in a very good only dust jacket (price-clipped).
