London: Published by Taylor and Francis for John Gould, 1849. Original antique print drawn and lithographed by William Matthew Hart after a rough sketch by John Gould. Original hand coloring, with with gum arabic enhancement. Image is 13 inches by 9 1/2 inches on a sheet that is 21 1/2 inches by 14 5/8 inches The print is from Gould's magnum opus on hummingbirds. It is in superb condition, clean and bright with no tanning or foxing. Accompanied by the original page of description of the bird.. Early Printing. Single Sheet. Fine. Illus. by William Matthew Hart and John Gould. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Fine Art Print.
